One Step Solution to

Creativity does not get
any better than composing a poem. It involves deep processing of a
thought, experience and emotion and its expression in such a way that
it not only strikes a cord in the reader but does it in a musical
melodious way..

Recently I read a book - "Supernanny" by Jo Frost.

Jo Frost did a great show on Channel Four in the UK few years ago. I happend to see it and was impressed by her warm yet no nonsense approach to disciplining kids.

You should buy her book if you are one of the troubled parent. But remember, badly behaved children mostly are oucome of some issue in parenting, so be prepared to look at yourself and other adults in the house before you point a finger at kids.

In news media there are often stories of children facing sex abuse. We are all shocked, scared and worried about our kids safety after each case surfaces in media.

Child Sex Abuse is a reality and we can teach our children some basic safety rules for their protection. These rules are simple, easy to learn and even a four year old can learn to protect himself / herself effectively.

Make sure that your kids are safe around fire crackers. My family has decided to do away with noisy fire crackers this year. We plan to use only visually spectacular stuff.

Buying crackers was an exercise in budgeting and maths. Kids did not like it one bit, but you can not please everybody.

I hope to write more regularly this year. Let me know what you want on this blog.

Moving Cities / Continents

Last week in a get together,
a friend got talking. He was very worried about his children's future in India.
He was re-thinking about his move to India from US.

Main concerns were- quality
of education, effect of other children's behaviour, change in accent, health
and physical environment (in city).

His tone was of worry and I
could empathies with him, having made a move to India more than a year ago.

This has been a strange month. No less
than three times I was asked advice about protecting children from
effects of divorce. Once it was grandparents seeking help with the
issue because they were given custody by the court !

As divorce and seperations become more
frequent reality of a changing society, we need to have a clear
knowledge of protecting children from the emotional holocaust.
